BCA Architects
The two story design was born to maximize space in the dense urban setting. The community became a major design element. Increased density and small site allowed a significant street presence, and a strong identity. This was resolved by the creation of identifiable and repetitive architectural entry and circulation features.

The District's identity was taken into consideration by interpreting a Mission-style in a contemporary way. The Mission-style influences are seen in the monumental curved entry features, at the Administration, Gateway, Grand Stair-way, and Multi-purpose buildings; complemented with strong vertical elements and encased in terra-cotta tiles. The design exemplifies the District's progressive goals towards sustainability and state-of-the-art facilities without departing significantly from the District's preferred architectural style.

They have created an outstanding learning environment that is safe while bringing innovation into our schools. I particularly like the sense of community their design creates such as the well-landscaped public plaza in front of the administration building which will allow for before and after school gatherings for students, staff, and parents of our District."
