The S-Series Furnace, Trane’s first new furnace platform in nearly 25 years is a two-stage, variable speed furnace that is 96% AFUE across all models. The product is 34” tall, which is a full 6” shorter than legacy furnaces, but is offered in the same depth and widths. All models are certified to air leakage of less than 1% of the design airflow rate according to ASHRAE 193 and are Energy Star® certified. As part of the development of the new S-Series Furnace line, a Dealer Council was formed to obtain direct dealer input to improve ease of installation and serviceability. This furnace was designed with homeowners in mind, along with valuable time-saving features to increase productivity at all levels.
