Valley Forge Fabrics FRESH line by Thomas Schoos

Platinum Award
World renowned Thomas Schoos created this signature 100 plus fabric collection to reflect the kaleidoscope of ethnicity that makes up our planet. The Thomas Schoos FRESH fabrics boast unique flexibility of design and construction as they inherently meet the fire codes, abrasion and longevity expectations for all end uses in commercial and hospitality applications for upholstery, drapery and bedding use. Of major design significance is that this collection is unique in that it can be used together to create a sustainable guest room experience inclusive of all textile elements in the room. Engineered for the Hospitality and contract industry, FRESH fabrics are 100% recycled polyester content only. There are no blends and no non-recycled yarn in FRESH. These contents are made from recycled PET plastic bottles. (Non-recycled polyester - which is the fiber of choice for hospitality environments, is made from petroleum; as are PET beverage bottles). This sourcing decision saves precious natural resources. There is also substantial resource savings in the manufacturing process itself when compared to traditional non-recycled polyesters. Valley Forge is the only textile company to date that has an established reclamation program to facilitate the recycling of textile products. Making a product using only 100% recycled content with a low impact manufacturing platform is important, but without offering to reclaim products and facilitate the recycling process, all of these fabrics would simply end up in landfills after use. Until the FRESH program, hotels never had a way to recycle fabric. This recycling will literally save millions of pounds from entering landfills after use. Made possible by Valley Forge's established large customer base, FRESH products are changing the way the hospitality industry considers and deals with what was once considered “waste .
