Mason, OH, March 15, 2023 –– A leader in closure products for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and retail applications, Clopay® Corporation introduces Corrosion Resistant Service and Insulated Doors, available in the company’s Cornell and Cookson brands.
Based on the design integrity of Clopay® Corporation’s standard rolling service doors, the new product line is engineered to inhibit oxidation and red rust. The doors withstand extreme commercial and industrial environments, such as water treatment plants, chemical storage facilities, coastal and marine environments, and other applications where corrosion is a concern.
“Our new Corrosion Resistant Service and Insulated Doors help address ongoing needs to modernize wastewater and stormwater facilities throughout the country,” said Nicole Vivalda, Senior Product Manager, Clopay® Corporation. “The 2022 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Clean Water & Drinking Water State Revolving Funds will provide grant funding to facilities looking to upgrade operations, including service doors.”
Built to Last in Harsh Conditions
The doors’ components are coated with zirconium, an element that enables the product to withstand highly corrosive environments. A ZRG powder-coated shaft, zinc-coated bearings, and corrosion-resistant fasteners ensure the doors are built to last whether placed at interior or exterior openings. A corrosion-resistant NEMA 4X Operator also is standard on each of the doors.
Specifiers don’t need to compromise aesthetics when choosing one of the company’s Corrosion Resistant Service and Insulated Doors. The door curtain and guides are available in stainless steel with a #4 finish or clear anodized aluminum in sizes up to 15’ wide and 15’ high. For applications that experience more extreme weather conditions, specifiers can choose stainless steel doors that withstand up to 40 PSF.
