The Design Process
This top seller was designed with three elements:
The barrel shape and dimension of a 1950's (or earlier) Woodard wrought iron chair called "Pinecrest". A 2018 Bugatti Chiron Grill Pattern, and some modernizing tweaks.
The barrel shape offers surprising back and upper-arm support comfort while still accommodating different sizes of people, armless feature allows easy in and out of the chair for hospitality operation, and the flat seat makes the comfort even more convenient when seating at an angle in the chair.
The engineering of the pierced pattern where it meets the round profile tubes were tricky and challenging though, due to the irregular cuts along the edge, and the thickness the design required to withhold 350 lbs. of seating capacity.
