Vita-Mix Professional Series

Gold Award
Vita-Mix ® Corporation puts the power of the professional in the hands of the home chef with the Professional Series, a commercial-grade blending appliance. As the demand for professional kitchen equipment at home continues to grow, the Professional Series brings professional style techniques to the home chef. From smoothies, soups, sauces and salsas, to raw foods, pesto, purees and desserts, it is ideal for a wide range of recipes and uses, because it is more powerful than ordinary blenders. It features a continuous variable speed dial that ranges from 1,000 to 24,000 rpm to allow for greater control when handling tasks ranging from pureeing whole foods to quickly crushing ice. It is sturdy enough for grinding hard nuts, yet refined enough to chop tomatoes. The patented accelerator tool enables the user to blend dense ingredients that would bring ordinary blenders to a halt.Unlike ordinary home blenders, it will process whole ingredients into a fresh hot soup in four minutes, or make delicious frozen treats like ice cream and sorbet in under 60 seconds. It is powerful enough to crack whole grains for a natural cereal or grind them into fine flour for baking homemade breads. The 2+ peak horsepower motor has a 240 mph blade speed, with a high speed of 37,000 rpm bare motor speed. The stainless steel blades are laser cut for increased accuracy, and a metal-to-metal construction container to base make it durable. The patented design of the 64-ounce polycarbonate container creates a powerful vortex that forces ingredients up from the blade and back down the center into the blades to ensure all ingredients are properly processed. The Professional Series features a soft touch container handle, function dial and switches. It is available in Platinum, Ruby and Onyx, with a mirror gloss finish and brushed aluminum faceplate.

Pricing

The company was founded in 1921 by W.G. Barnard, a self-taught salesman of “modern” home products. Barnard also invented the infomercial in 1949, and he used it to make Vita-Mix a household name. The growing Vita-Mix business is now under the direction of the third and fourth generation of the Barnard family. Their focus is continuous product improvement through customer feedback and the power of sophisticated research and testing.Today, Vita-Mix distributes its line in more than 45 countries. Transcending the limitations of conventional blenders, Vita-Mix Blenders offer the power, control and options required by top chefs in the best professional kitchens.Vita-Mix launched its retail division in 2000 to bring its professional style products to home chefs. Today, with growing demand for professional tools in home kitchens, Vita-Mix is expanding its presence at gourmet and specialty retailers with the introduction of the Professional Series.
