From refined, artistic architectural lighting to durable luminaires that withstand the harshest elements of tunnel and transit environments, Schréder Lighting is the epitome of quality and distinction.Designed by Laurent Fachard, Boreal provides the opportunity to use lighting as sculpture with a look that is well suited for urban entertainment as it creates a playful, festive theme. Laser cut brushed stainless steel exterior shades can be complemented with optional dichroic filters to create colorful effects. The fixtures are available in single- or twin-light configurations.Boreal features an internal metal halide CDM lamp module constructed of aluminum with a clear acrylic lens. The fixtures use 70-, 100- and 150watt ED17 metal halide lamps. The luminaire has an IP-66 rating and offers a high degree of protection for dust and dirt ingress. Three captive screws allow easy access to the lamp while the control gear is mounted on a removable plate.Boreal luminaires are available in three shade patterns: Foliage mesh, Branches mesh, and Circles mesh. Schréder poles and brackets are offered in Sand Blast Textured Black and a variety of standard RAL colors, as well as custom colors, to complement a broad array of outdoor settings.The Boreal is 33.1 inches tall with a diameter of 24 inches.Schréder also offers Owlet, a wireless control system for monitoring, controlling, metering and managing Boreal and other street and area luminaires while reducing energy use and maintenance costs.
