The Halo SLD Series Surface LED Downlights incorporate WaveStream™ LED technology to create an ultra-low profile (0.7”), surface-mounting luminaire with the performance and look of traditional downlights, but offering up to 80 percent in energy savings. Available in 4-inch (SLD4) and 6-inch (SLD6) sizes with 3000K CCT and an 80 or 90 CRI option, the SLD Series is designed for installation in many standard 3.5-inch and 4-inch junction boxes, and may retrofit 4-inch, 5-inch or 6-inch aperture IC and Non-IC recessed housings. The SLD can also retrofit surface-mounted fixtures.The SLD consumes only 12W and lasts 50,000 hours, compared to a 65W BR30 lamp (light bulb), which last approximately 2,000 hours. The SLD seamlessly integrates with advanced lighting controls solutions and has dimming capability to nominally 10 percent with standard 120V electronic low voltage and 5 percent using select dimmers with low end trim adjustment. A dedicated LED wiring connector meets high-efficacy code requirement in recessed downlighting, and prevents substitution of lower efficacy sources.The innovative WaveStream LED technology transforms the LED point source into an elegant luminous plane. A patented optical system maximizes the amount of light injected into the WaveStream panel, dramatically improving luminaire efficiency. Laser-precise AccuAim™ optics arranged in exacting patterns provide unparalleled brightness control while delivering optimal distributions tailored to each fixture and application.
