The Eva Teakettle

The elegant 1.8-quart Eva Teakettle, in brushed 18/10 stainless steel with black accents, transcends classic motifs with a blend of old world style and surprising design elements that add grace and originality. The uniquely curved handle, with a silicone stay-cool grip, combines an appealing romantic look with ergonomic benefits for a new shape that's beautiful on the stovetop and comfortable to use. The teakettle also features a cheerful whistle and a matching black knob on the lid that lends balance and energy to the design. Reflecting the technological expertise that is part of the Chantal heritage, the Eva Teakettle features a wide base for rapid boiling and a seam-free body. The pre-tilted handle makes pouring easier, and the silicone stay-cool grip with heat diffusing stainless attachment brackets reduces heat absorption.

Notes

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chantal Classic teakettle, we partnered with Eva Zeisel to create Zeisel's first ever teakettle in her illustrious career. Designed in collaboration with Heida Thurlow, Founder and President of Chantal, the Eva Teakettle marries the talents of Thurlow's 30 years of expertise in teakettle technology and Zeisel's graceful and original design. As one of the most celebrated designers of the 20th and 21st centuries, Eva Zeisel's work can be found in permanent museums collections around the world. It is currently available at Bloomingdale's.

Founded in October 1971, Chantal – a family owned company, is proud to have recently celebrated 45 years of strength, determination and success. CEO and founder, German-born Heida Thurlow, relocated to the United States in 1970 and soon began her entrepreneurial journey. Trained as a mechanical engineer, Heida has the distinction of being the first woman in the U.S. to launch and run a cookware company. She has received numerous design and utility patents for teakettles and kitchenware products. Chantal was the first to bring dramatic color, tempered glass lids and stay-cool handles to the kitchenware marketplace and continues to dedicate itself to the creation of innovative products, bringing elegance to the home. When not focused on product innovation, Chantal strives to find ways to give back through cause marketing efforts and through the Chantal Foundation.
