In the early 1900's, Denver's Municipal Auditorium was the second largest venue in the country, exceeded only by Madison Square Garden in New York. From its inaugural use with the 1908 Democratic National Convention, the venue went on to the host thousands of theatrical and sports events, trade shows, even boy scout jamborees!Completely refurnished in 2005 and named after the popular Denver Mayer, the Quigg Newton Auditorium is once again the anchor to Denver's thriving Performing Arts Complex.
