At the suggestion of their previous designer, this couple previously filled their entire wall space with a massive dull brown sectional which did little more than take up valuable space, but lacked style and best use for this room.I was excited to transform their space starting with a soothing shade of plum with a grey undertone, to appeal to the husband. The wife's style was described to me as "Glam Chic" or Metropolitan. Glamorous, rich touches surround the space, from the crystal chandelier which shimmers onto the ceiling, to the sumptuous deep plum pillows at the sofa, to the custom espresso cabinetry that gorgeously hide all of this audio equipment, speakers and gaming systems. The cabinetry was specially designed with a right hand pocket to house the charcoal, floor to ceiling, faux silk curtains that surround the room. An unexpected shabby collection of frames create a photo gallery behind a pair of cream tweed chairs with nailhead trim. The sofa is now properly scaled and boasts unique wooden wrap around arms. The center of the room is layered with ottomans that serve as ornamentation but can also function as additional seating then friends come over for game night or gatherings. Chrome and glass accent tables and chrome touches in the accessories add a bit more bling to complete the look.
