Clopay® Corporation introduces Vibration Isolators, available through the Cornell and Cookson brands. In applications where disruptive vibration is a concern, controlling reverberation is a necessity. Clopay® Corporation is now offering Vibration Isolators for Standard and Extreme Series rolling doors and grilles, adding a muffling feature to quality, functional products.  

The Isolators (highlighted in gold) provide a tight, gasket-like seal between the guide angles and wall structure, keeping vibrations that might otherwise be disruptive to tenants or patrons in adjoining buildings to a minimum. In fact, vibration is reduced by 14% compared to products without Vibration Isolators. Preinstalled on guides and requiring no additional fasteners, this product results in easy installation with most Standard and Extreme Series rolling doors or grilles up to 30 feet wide, with no height limitations. The product can be retrofitted to guides mounted on the face of the wall and is ideal for parking facilities or any structure connected to residential or office buildings.  

Additional Features & Specifications   

• The Vibration Isolators consist of a 3/8-inch-thick nitrile rubber dampening pad installed along each guide. 
• The option can be used while mounting to concrete, filled CMU, or steel jamb conditions.  
• Isolators cannot be added if wind load, seismic validation, or fire rating is required.
