Circle.com chose Group Goetz Architects to design its headquarters on the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, MD. The 7,000 SF office space accommodated approximately 23 people in the General Marketing, Account Management, Concept, Design and Production Departments. The client company wanted to differentiate itself from its spin-off “parent in the same building, and envisioned a sleek, chic and dynamic office space.Group Goetz took the design lead in creating the company's architectural brand in a redefined modern idiom. Traditional materials, evoking both elegance and stability, are made to float in space. They are partnered with modern elements, such as aluminum and colored glass that combine to offer a distinct sense of place and corporate identity. Closed-door offices are symmetrically placed along the perimeter, while simple, white 54-inch drywall partitions define support staff workspaces. To further enhance the space, translucent panels of filtered blue glass modulate exterior and interior light, and define the focal points of the space. The swelling exterior light bounces off the water of Baltimore's Inner Harbor and penetrates into the interior through the expanse of windows and glass-fronted offices, giving the rational distribution of space a luminous vitality.
