Visual Merchandising International has been in business since 1994. It was founded by Jill Ralston and her partner, Massimo Barra, two successful fashion designers frustrated by the lack of correctly sized, and well made dressmaker forms available in the marketplace. They applied their considerable dressmaking skills to designing a professional working form that was designed as beautifully as their clothing. Necessity being the mother of invention, “Fabulous Fit†was born. Other designers also dissatisfied with clunky old fashioned shaped forms soon followed suit, and clamored for “Fabulous Fit†forms too. We now provide the industry with fabricated forms, in the time honored tradition of the classic dressmaker form, but with shapes and silhouettes that are current, and simply provide a “fabulous fit†for today's clothing. We're proud to let you know that we hold not one but two patents on our unique sizing system and innovative state of the art forms. our patented “Fitting System†is a set of 17 silicone petal shaped pads that can be added to any of our forms to add additional inches to bust, waist, hips etc, so that every garment hangs perfectly, or so that every form takes on the precise shape of the wearer. The “Fitting System†is so popular that models and stylists at Ford and Wilhelmina Modeling agencies use the m on their real models for photo shoots. Using quality materials like imported European linen, and hand stitched seams, help to create a couture quality forms, which may account for the preponderance of museums and designer showrooms that appreciate those little details. Retailers know that selling clothes often rests upon providing just the right fit. Rest assured, our product does just that! Our design skills, and manufacturing capabilities allow us to create customized pieces that are unique.
