DuChateau
Founded in 2006, DuChateau® manufactures wide-plank hardwood flooring that offers the look, feel and longevity of old-world European floors crafted centuries ago. Using artistic methods perfected by European master-craftsmen and combined with today’s state-of-the-art technology, each DuChateau® plank is treated with all-natural low-VOC hard-wax oil for a beautiful and highly resistant matte finish that also nourishes the wood from within. As a proponent of environmentally friendly harvesting methods, the majority of DuChateau® wood floors are certified to the Forest Stewardship Council® Chain of Custody Standard (FSC®). Based in San Diego, California, the firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and all floors contribute to LEED credits. Since inception, the company has been at the forefront of innovation by using its unique patent pending finishing methods in the wood flooring industry and is proud to be sold internationally and used by some of the most well respected brands including Whole Foods, Saks Fifth Avenue, Trump Properties, Augusta National Golf Club, Ian Schrager hotels, and The Ritz Carlton.
