This Enclosure is from Met-tec's Monumental Edition custom, solid brss, framed shower enclosure line. Monumental enclosures are made from the company's solid brass extrusions - plated to match the bathroom shower fixtures - for use with 1/2 inch clear tempered glass. For this project the customer wanted the entrance to his steam enclosure to match the design and architecture of his penthouse. He in no way wanted the enclosure to resemble an ordinary shower, according to Met-tec officials. Instead, the customer wanted the enclosure to stand out and be something he would be proud to show off, like a piece of art or furnture.The framed enclosure incorporated solid brass - polished nickel plated - and 1/2 inch Starphire tempered glass. Each corner was fabricated with glass bent to the specific degree of the opening. From left to right there is: a bent piece of glass following the corner design, fixed panel, door with fixed transom, fixed panel and the another bent piece of glass to follow the corner design on the opposite end. The total height of this enclosure is 96 inches; it is approximately 72 inches wide.
