Ergotron's new Tablet Management Solution provides a modular syncing and charging system for fleet management of tablets and eReaders by storing, syncing and charging up to 32 devices (dependent on unit configuration). The universal design accommodates any tablet with a display up to 10" in size and that charges via multi-port USB hub, including the iPadÂ®, the Barnes & Noble NookÂ® and Amazon KindleÂ® tablets. Each module holds up to 16 tablets. The system, to be offered as either a mobile cart or stand-alone desktop option, is 35% lighter and 43% smaller than competitive charging carts and is designed for space-constrained classrooms, healthcare facilities, or any enterprise environment. The Tablet Management solution offers open architecture which allows for a flexible response to future technology changes and for the secure storage and transportation of up to 48 tablets, if all three modules are installed. With its easy one-time setup and secure cable management drawer (which limits outside access), syncing and charging is as simple as connecting a master laptop via USB and plugging the one power cord into the wall socket. The system will automatically switch from charging to syncing using USB 2.0 protocol when the master laptop is connected. Module status and individual tablet charging status is visible with LED indicators.

The Tablet Management Cart ships fully assembled and will be available for global distribution in mid-September 2011. Available in four cart versions and two desktop modules, MSRPs for the Tablet Management Solutions start at US$899 for the desktop module and range up to $3,149 for the three-module cart version with individual status indicators for each tablet. Designed by Ergotron, the Tablet Management Cart offers an affordable and flexible alternative for tablet management, helping simplify the fleet syncing and charging for managers. Product Dimensions for the unit are 23"W x 18.4"D x 39.3"H (58.4 x 46.7 x 100 cm) for the carts and 18.3"W x 16.2"D x 10.4"H (46.5 x 41.1 x 26.4 cm) for the desktop module. Color is black. The product has a five years warranty with two years for electrical components.
