Thresholds DKS

Features and advantages: With a height of 20 mm, thresholds DKS are suitable for "barrier free living" to DIN 18025. Easy and efficient connection between threshold and frame: Serving as adapter between the threshold cut in a right angle and the individually shaped timber or PVC frame profile, the threshold-to-frame connector provides:- efficient assembly - forced guidance on two sides and twofold mortise joint with aluminium drip rail and with base profile- high static values due to the involvement of the steel reinforcement of the frame- high impact resistance- UV resistance Locking plates of all leading manufacturers of tilt-turn and side hung sash fittings can be mounted to DKS thresholds. The corner bearing of the fittings is connected to the solid threshold support and to the steel reinforcement of the frame with screws. This provides stability and reliable function of the door. All threshold variants are thermally broken. The large widths of the insulating PVC profiles - base profile 43 mm, cover profile 28 mm - prevent condensation on the inside and provide optimum heat insulation. An anti-moisture foil of the G.U-BKS programme can be applied without auxiliary tools. In new buildings, extension profiles to be clipped on compensate for the difference in height up to the carcass ceiling. The system related bottom profile with finseal brush is screwed to the bottom sash profile on the outside. Serving as additional seal, it protects against driving rain, humidity, dust and draught. A connecting piece of 55 mm placed between cover profile and locking plate provides optimum appearance.
