Structurally the legs hark back to the curved leg detail of Aalto's laminated supports. In this case the concept is transferred to the handcrafted solutions of the Amish woodworkers with a visible plywood insert and dowels made of contrasting woods. The laminated surface is replaced with leather, a nod to traditional library tables. The tables come in three quintessentially North American hardwoods, walnut, cherry and maple, which can be paired with an array of colored leather."
