Room Controller Lighting Control System with Scene-Based Controls

Platinum Award
A first in room-based solutions, the system incorporates occupancy sensing, daylighting, receptacle control, demand response and manual controls, as well as a patent-pending, UL 924 listed relay and integral skylight control all integrated into one comprehensive solution.

The system features plug-and-play devices, receptacle controls and multi-zone daylighting that doesn’t require additional programming. It’s a quick, easy to install and extremely efficient solution for a range of applications. The Room Controller lighting system is an industry first offering end users a complete lighting solution compliant to standards developed ASHRAE and the California Title 24.

The system has been developed to meet the unique and evolving energy codes and lighting control needs of private offices, open office spaces, classrooms and patient rooms. In addition to allowing precise lighting controls, the system is designed to save energy and time during installation with a quick connect cable and pre-configured components. Additionally, components of the Room Controller system, including the room controller device, occupancy sensors, daylighting sensors and wallstations, include built-in lighting scenes, as well as daylighting and occupancy sensing settings tailored to particular applications types.

The Room Controller now brings additional value to applications like conference and training rooms with programmable scene wallstations and personal handheld remote controls. Other features like Auto On to Scene, Auto on to 50% or Manual On (i.e. Vacancy Mode) make it simple to meet the current ASHRAE 90.1 2010 code, as well as the new CA Title 24.

Room Controller device includes two patent-pending elements designed to further enhance lighting controls. The integral UL 924 relay allows emergency lights to be dimmed or switched like non-emergency fixtures without the extra materials and labor and an integral Solatube® connection to control adjustable skylights.

The system also provides demand response and receptacle control functionalities required by the latest building codes.

The room-based system incorporates occupancy sensing, daylighting, receptacle control, demand response and manual controls, as well as patent-pending, UL 924 listed relay and integral skylight control in one comprehensive solution.
