A rare find is this satin quilt made of "First" "Second" amd "Third Prize" ribbons. Each is elaborately monogrammed with the intertwined initials "A" and "B" printed in gold (this represents the county fair or organization we suppose). Colored red, white or blue, they are arranged on the diagonal to make a "straight furrow" pattern too, in a unique patriotic as well as historic special quilt. Did one family win ALL those ribbons? Perhaps the quiltmaker worked in a ribbon factory. The ribbons are dated from 1908 - 1914. This quilt would be great on a wall, or as a unique and decorative throw. Size: 62" x 66", fits twin bed Period: 1908 -1914 Condition: Excellent condition Material: rayon satin
