This historic friendship album quilt from Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, is pieced in the "Single Rolling Stone" pattern the characterizes several other known quilts from this locale that have been published. It contains many blocks on point made of different color calico prints of the era, each signed in ink. (A complete list will be made available). While not pristine (as we try always to buy) we made an exception because of the historic importance of this example; it has a pale rosy dye that bled slightly in some of the blocks, more visible on the back. Sold unrestored, which can be provided if the buyer wants. Size: 92" x 96" (fits queen size bed) Period: dated 1846 Condition: Good conition, with minor dye transfer Material: Cotton
