Kettal Basket

Kettal edits the Basket chair, created in the 1950s by Danish designers Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel. The Basket chair, made from oak, comes in its original version creat- ed by the Ditzel, hand-braided in wicker, and in an outdoor version, made from arti- ficial fibre and teak. The cushion fabrics, also designed by Nanna Ditzel, the ‘queen of Danish design’, are pure new wool and come in 4 colour combinations and 8 Hal- lingdal fabrics by Kvadrat.The Basket chair won awards in 1950 at the Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition and in 1951 at the Milan Triennale.
