Wittus Star Gelfire Pillar

Platinum Award
Garden sculpture by day ‚¬â€œ dramatic lighting by night. Nothing sets the mood like flaming torch pillars standing tall against a starry sky. Created by award-winning Danish architectural designer Bent Falk and made in the USA, Wittus Star Gelfire Pillars turn a simple backyard gathering into an event, add flair to a restaurant entry, and bring romance to al fresco dinners.Standing nearly five feet tall, the Wittus Star Gelfire Pillar transforms decks, backyards, and summer cottage beachfronts into welcoming outdoor living spaces. Use one to anchor a garden, another to illuminate the gazebo. The 3D cutout casts star shadow patterns throughout the day, and when the stars really do come out, your evening has just begun. The Wittus Star Gelfire Pillar is made in the USA of heavy gauge COR-TEN ® steel topped with stainless steel fuel wells that conceal a gel fuel can. Over time, the natural oxidation transforms the base into a unique, rich patina that protects the steel core. Gel fuel cans burn from 2 to 3 hours per filling. The fuel is odorless, clean-burning, 99% efficient, and produces lively, lofty flames. The Pillar comes with an initial supply of gel fuel. Refills are available in 13oz pint cans and 30 oz or gallon bottles.

The award winning designer's philosophy is: "Good design is when form and function go hand-in-hand and at the end of the day is a result of a close teamwork between the producer and designer."
