Notes

Samuel & Sons Aristotle Greek Key border, woven in France, employs a sophisticated double beam jacquard construction that allows weaving of different denier yarns and orientation in the warp and weft, which gives the pattern its dimension and sets it apart from the fine ground. Also notable is the multi-directional stitching – a contributing factor to the pattern’s level of refinement. The borders are woven in three widths ranging from 5/8” to 1-3/8” to 2.75”.Colors are brought to life through a tonal strié within the pattern, as seen in the subtle interpretation of pinks in Petal or the subdued interplay of taupe and grey in Granite. Color Lake offers a pure Dresden blue ground upon which a creamy ivory Greek Key sits. Olive combines an earthen green pattern with a ground the color of flax, while Antique Gold weaves together glistening strands of metal yarn and matte golden threads to form its patterning. The collection introduces an array of 14 new shades which delve deeper into neutrals, greys, greens and shades of blue. This French collection of borders, while paying homage to classicism in its patterning, truly focuses on today’s color palettes and is intended for distinguished interiors.
