U.S.ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING TORNADO BOLLARD

The innovative Tornado bollard makes a bold architectural statement while offering energy savings. Introduced by U.S. Architectural Lighting, the fixture is designed to illuminate pedestrian walkways in commercial centers, city plazas, parks and other public areas. Tornado is offered in two styles: Model TNA with ribbed access panel and Model TNS. In addition to the LED option, Tornado is also available in high pressure sodium, pulse start metal halide and CFL light sources. The LED product includes 24 or 28 LED modules in neutral white (4000K). Warm white (3000K) and cool white (5000K) color temperatures are available on request. Tornado measures 37” high and the fixture head with prism is 12” wide. HID models have both ASY and SYM optics and the LED models feature IES Type II, Type III, Type IV and Type V-SQ light distributions. The fixture housing is constructed from corrosion-resistant low copper cast aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of ¼”. The top is crowned to facilitate water run off. The raised access panel is fully gasketed and retained by two stainless steel screws. The body secures to a mounting stanchion with a cast aluminum wedge lock. Mounting stanchions are constructed from 3 1/2” SCH40 steel pipe (below grade) and welded to 3” SCH 40 steel pipe (above grade). The entire assembly is hot dipped galvanized. Textured finishes are available in black, white, grey, dark bronze and green. They feature electrostatically-applied polyester powder coat baked at 400°F for maximum hardness and durability. Custom finishes can also be specified.
