Ascend - Exam Recliner

The Krug Patient Recliner combines the functionality of an exam table with the comfort and convenience of a reclining chair. Features include motorized operation for the ottoman extension, back recline and lift mechanism. It can be reclined to a full flat sleep surface which can be raised to an exam height of up to a 32”.The single pendant control is accessible by both the user and caregiver and provides independent or synchronised controls for the back and ottoman.The chair is available with single or dual transfer arms to provide unobstructed patient transfer and sculpted armrests serve as transfer support rails for the patient. The chair base offers vertical clearance for patient portable lifts and can be optioned with either casters or legs. Optional removable stirrups are available and store conveniently behind the chair when not in use.Additional options include a push-bar, paper holder and power/USB outlet.

Sustainability

The Exam Recliner is designed with the ability to replace components if they become damaged or degraded. Krug products are level® and air-emissions certified and can be specified with FSC® certified products.

The mechanism is rated to a 400lb capacity. Armrests which also serve as transfer rails are designed to resist 250lbs of force. Steel framing ensures long term performance and the ability to replace components if they become damaged or degraded. The Patient Recliner’s clean and contemporary styling plays on being a comfortable lounge seating product first and foremost allowing it to compliment a wider range of patient environments. The examination attributes are neatly integrated into the design and choices of fabrics and surface finishes allow for even more design flexibility.The Patient Recliner uses an innovative compact mechanism which affords generous clearance below the chair providing accessibility for patient lifts or over-bed tables. The flat sleep/exam surface provides comfortable support in various examination positions including prone, lithotomy, supine and elevated sit.
